The guestbook
Leave me a note
Every guest who comes through the tea house is welcome to write
Have a question, an idea, an invitation, or just want to say hello? Write it below. I read every note, and I will write back.
What you can write to me about
Speaking and events
Talks, panels, and workshops on immigrants and refugees, newcomer policy, civic engagement, and leadership. Please include the date, audience, and place.
Mentorship and free sessions
Tell me where you are now and where you want to go, from college essays to graduate school and your first job.
Websites and branding
Tell me about your project, and whether you are a newcomer starting your first website.
Teaplomacy, media, and research
Host a gathering, request an interview, ask for a policy brief, or share a story for The Newcomer Brief.
Chip in to my journey
If my story or work has meant something to you, you can chip in on Venmo at @obaidtea. For Zelle, choose "Supporting your journey" in the note below, and I will send you my details. Thank you. It helps me stay afloat in graduate school and keep my mentoring free.
